About the job:
This role owns the day-to-day finance function at Uniq You — books, compliance, payments, and reporting. You will build clean, reliable financial operations from the ground up, ensuring numbers are accurate, on time, and decision-ready for the founders.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Books & Reporting
- Own bookkeeping end-to-end — accurate, current, audit-ready
- Close monthly books on time, every time
- Build management reports that founders actually use
2. Compliance & Statutory
- Manage GST, TDS, PF, PT, ROC, and income tax filings
- Coordinate with auditors and consultants without losing the thread
- Keep the company compliant without surprises
3. Payments & Receivables
- Run vendor payments, employee reimbursements, and customer receivables cleanly
- Track aging, follow up on dues, and don't let cash leak
- Build payment discipline as we scale
4. Cross-Functional Execution
- Partner with category, sourcing, and ops teams on budgets, POs, and cost tracking
- Flag overspends and margin leaks before they show up in the P&L
- Make finance a partner to the business, not a gatekeeper
5. Special Projects
- Set up accounting systems, tools, and SOPs from scratch
- Support fundraising diligence — data rooms, MIS, financial models
- Inventory accounting and reconciliation as the catalogue scales
What We're Looking For:
- Atleast 2 years in accounting or finance, ideally at a startup, D2C, or fashion brand
- CA Inter / CA / CMA / B.Com with strong hands-on experience
- Strong on Tally / Zoho Books / similar; sharp on Excel
- High ownership — closes books without being chased
- Clean, structured communicator who flags issues early
