Role Description
This is an on-site role for an Accountant at Pulastya Legal Services LLP, located in Bengaluru. The Accountant will manage day-to-day financial operations, maintain records of receipts and payments, assist in preparing financial statements, and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory financial requirements. The role also involves assisting with budgeting, tax filings, and financial audits.
- Manage and oversee the firm’s financial transactions, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and general ledger entries using Zoho Books
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records by maintaining proper documentation and filing systems
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial records to maintain accurate account balances
- Process and send invoices, expenses, and payments, ensuring adherence to the firm’s billing and payment policies using Zoho Books
- Follow up with clients for payments via email and telephone, in both Hindi and English as required
- Collaborate with various departments to gather necessary financial information for accurate reporting and analysis
- Prepare and present financial reports, summaries, and statements to the management team regularly
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support financial decision-making
- Coordinate with CAs and external auditors during annual audits and provide necessary documentation as required
- Create and manage budgets, prepare financial statements, and oversee the Firm’s financial transactions. Prepare MIS reports.
Educational Background
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a legal or professional services firm
- Proficiency in Zoho Books is essential
- Strong accounting principles knowledge and comfort with financial statements and bookkeeping practices
- Fluency in both English and Hindi
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate confidently with clients
- Fluency in MS Excel and PowerPoint to generate clear and effective financial reports
- Self-driven, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
