Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Accountant role located in the Pune Division. The Accountant will manage day-to-day accounting activities, including recording financial transactions, maintaining ledgers, and reconciling accounts. Responsibilities include preparing invoices, processing payments, handling accounts payable and receivable, and assisting with payroll-related entries. The role involves preparing periodic financial reports, supporting budgeting and forecasting, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and tax regulations. The Accountant will coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders, support audits, and help improve financial processes and controls.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and general ledger management.
- Experience with accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and cash flow tracking.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel; familiarity with ERP systems is an advantage.
- Understanding of Indian taxation, GST, TDS, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and ability to maintain organized financial records.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certifications are a plus.
- Prior experience in manufacturing or food industry accounting is preferred but not mandatory.
