Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Accountant role based in Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar. The Accountant will manage day-to-day financial accounting activities, including recording transactions, maintaining ledgers, and reconciling bank and vendor accounts. Responsibilities include preparing invoices, monitoring accounts payable and receivable, assisting with payroll entries, and ensuring timely payments and collections. The role involves preparing periodic financial statements and management reports, supporting budgeting and forecasting, and maintaining compliance with applicable accounting standards and tax regulations. The Accountant will collaborate with operations and logistics teams to accurately track costs, analyze margins, and support decision-making for freight and logistics activities.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in financial accounting, including general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
- Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, billing, and collections processes.
- Ability to prepare and analyze financial statements, management reports, and support budgeting and forecasting.
- Proficiency with accounting software and MS Excel (e.g., spreadsheets, formulas, pivot tables) and comfort working with ERP or TMS systems.
- Knowledge of relevant tax rules, compliance requirements, and internal control practices.
- Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and organizational skills to manage multiple deadlines.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with finance, operations, and logistics teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CA, CPA, CMA) are an advantage.
- Prior experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain environments is preferred but not required.
