Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Accountant based in Mumbai. The Accountant will be responsible for financial record-keeping, preparing financial reports, budgeting, and ensuring compliance with relevant financial regulations. Daily tasks will include managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling financial discrepancies, preparing tax returns, auditing documents, and assisting with financial planning. The role demands strong attention to detail, collaboration with other departments, and effective communication skills.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in accounting principles, financial reporting, and preparation of budgets
- Strong skills in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management
- Experience in tax preparation and ensuring regulatory compliance
- Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage financial discrepancies
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced knowledge of MS Excel
- Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Professional certifications such as CPA, CA, or equivalent are a plus
- Experience working in the retail or trading industry is advantageous
