Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Accountant role based in Nagpur. The Accountant will manage day-to-day accounting operations, including maintaining accurate financial records, processing invoices, recording expenses, and handling accounts payable and receivable. The role involves preparing journal entries, reconciling bank statements, and assisting with monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities. The Accountant will support budgeting and forecasting, prepare basic financial reports, and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and local regulations. The role also includes coordinating with internal teams, responding to finance-related queries, and supporting external audits as needed.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in accounting principles, including double-entry bookkeeping, general ledger management, and account reconciliation.
- Ability to prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and cash flow reports.
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, or similar) and MS Excel for financial data analysis and reporting.
- Knowledge of taxation basics, invoices, GST, and other relevant statutory compliance requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and strong organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality of financial information.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certifications (such as CA Inter or equivalent) are an advantage.
- Prior experience in a small business, FMCG, or food products company is a plus, along with an interest in health, nutrition, or wellness sectors.
