Role Description The Accountant role is a full-time, on-site position based in Bengaluru. The role involves managing day-to-day accounting operations, including recording financial transactions, maintaining ledgers, and reconciling bank statements. The Accountant will prepare and review invoices, monitor accounts receivable and payable, and support payroll processing. The role includes assisting with monthly and annual closing activities, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and tax regulations. The Accountant will collaborate with management to provide financial insights, support audits, and help improve internal controls and accounting processes.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong financial accounting skills, including general ledger management, journal entry posting, and bank reconciliation.
- Candidates should possess skills in accounts receivable and accounts payable management, invoicing, and payment tracking.
- Candidates should possess proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, or similar), as well as solid MS Excel skills for reporting and analysis.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of tax regulations, GST compliance, and basic statutory reporting relevant to the Indian market.
- Candidates should possess attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records.
- Candidates should possess strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple accounting tasks and meet deadlines.
- Candidates should possess effective communication and collaboration skills to work with internal teams, vendors, and customers.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field is preferred; prior experience in accounting within trading, distribution, or apparel sectors is an advantage.
