Role Description The Accountant role at GYANKAMAO E-LEARNING PLATFORM is a full-time, on-site position based in New Delhi. The accountant is responsible for managing day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations. The role includes preparing financial statements, monitoring budgets, assisting with financial planning, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations. The accountant will also support internal audits, maintain accurate financial records, generate periodic reports for management, and collaborate with other teams to ensure timely invoicing and revenue tracking. The position requires consistent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively within a fast-paced educational technology environment.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong core accounting skills, including bookkeeping, ledger management, financial reporting, and reconciliation.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in accounting software and tools, such as Excel and common ERP or financial management systems.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of budgeting, financial analysis, and basic tax and regulatory compliance.
- Candidates should possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and numerical skills to interpret financial data and support decision-making.
- Candidates should possess effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and present financial information clearly.
- Relevant academic qualification such as a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CA, CMA, or equivalent) are an advantage.
- Prior experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably within a technology, education, or services organization, is beneficial.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, uphold ethical standards, and manage multiple tasks with accuracy and timeliness.
