About the Role
The **Team Lead - US Accounting** will be responsible for managing both projects and a dedicated team while maintaining direct client communication. This role requires a professional with strong business acumen and interpersonal skills to oversee complex accounting functions and ensure high-quality service delivery for US-based clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Compile and analyze financial statements while managing budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Oversee task allocation to team members and resolve internal queries to ensure smooth operations.
- Handle direct communication with clients, including monthly meetings and tracking client-specific deadlines.
- Participate in audit preparation and prepare necessary tax documents.
- Create ad-hoc reports for various business needs and prepare or review Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Perform detailed reviews of accounts and ensure all accounting functions are executed accurately.
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years of experience specifically in the **US Accounting process**.
- At least 2 years of experience in a managerial or leadership role within US Accounting.
- Demonstrated proficiency in accounting software including **Xero, Zoho Books, QuickBooks (Online and Desktop), and Sage**.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to manage client relationships.
Preferred Qualifications
- CA (Chartered Accountant) or CPA (Certified Public Accountant) designation is highly preferred. What We Offer - Opportunity to lead a team in a professional accounting environment.
