Role Description The Accountant will manage day-to-day financial operations, including bookkeeping, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries. Responsibilities include preparing and reviewing invoices, tracking expenses, assisting in budgeting, and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. The role also involves supporting tax and audit processes, maintaining compliance with relevant accounting standards, and coordinating with internal teams and external partners on financial matters. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, bookkeeping, and financial reporting
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, or similar) and MS Excel
- Experience handling accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations
- Ability to support budgeting, forecasting, and expense tracking for business operations
- Understanding of tax regulations, GST, and audit support processes. Invoicing, Purchase orders etc
- Excellent attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and organizational skills
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certifications are an advantage
- Prior experience in corporate, retail, or gifting industry accounting is a plus
