About The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented accounting professional to join our team in a fully remote capacity. The ideal candidate will work closely with our Canadian clients, gaining valuable hands-on experience in Canadian bookkeeping, tax, and compliance procedures. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to expand their expertise in international accounting standards and practices. The position requires working during a fixed night shift (IST), providing a stable and predictable schedule. While the primary work environment is remote, candidates from NCR regions are preferred for occasional in-person training sessions at our Noida Sector 62 office. Candidates from across India are encouraged to apply, with the understanding that some travel may be necessary for training purposes.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess a bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field. Candidates who are CA Inter or have completed articleship are highly encouraged to apply. We prefer applicants with 1–3 years of accounting experience, particularly those with experience working in Canadian or US accounting firms. Prior experience working full night shifts from India is a significant advantage. Candidates must own a reliable laptop or desktop with high-speed internet connectivity to ensure seamless remote work. NCR-based candidates are preferred, but applicants from other regions must be willing to travel occasionally to Noida for training sessions.
Responsibilities
- Perform bookkeeping and reconciliations using Excel and QuickBooks Online, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records.
- Assist with GST, HST, PST, payroll taxes, and corporate tax support, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Prepare and maintain financial statement working papers, supporting the preparation of accurate financial reports.
- Handle payroll processing tasks and facilitate smooth client onboarding processes.
- Communicate professionally with clients via email and phone, providing timely updates and support.
Tools & Skills
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online is mandatory for effective bookkeeping and client management.
- Strong skills in Excel and MS Office suite are essential for data analysis and reporting.
- Working knowledge of IFRS and GAAP accounting standards to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills, comfortable with Canadian and American accents.
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
