About The Role
In our ‘always on’ world, we believe it’s essential to have a genuine connection with the work you do. Vistance Networks is looking out for an Accountant to join its Finance Shared Service team in Goa. This role is pivotal in managing the accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, and maintaining compliance with statutory regulations. The successful candidate will work closely with various internal departments and external vendors to streamline financial operations and support the company’s growth objectives. This position offers an excellent opportunity for professionals with a solid background in accounting to contribute to a dynamic organization that values innovation and excellence.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess a strong educational background in accounting or finance, preferably with an inter-CA or MCom qualification. Candidates with a minimum of five years of relevant experience in Accounts Payable, General Ledger, or similar accounting functions will be considered favorably. A thorough understanding of statutory compliance requirements, especially related to Indian taxes such as GST and VAT, is essential. Prior experience working with ERP systems, particularly SAP, and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, will be advantageous. The candidate should demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team and adapt to shifting process requirements.
Responsibilities
- Understand and implement policies and procedures related to Accounts Payable, including invoice processing for third-party invoices, inter-entity accounting, and travel expense management for designated companies.
- Monitor workflow queues to ensure all invoices are processed within the defined timelines, maintaining efficiency and accuracy.
- Raise issues and circulate reports according to established policies, addressing any challenges faced in AP processing, and ensuring timely payments through systems such as ICC, VIM, and SAP.
- Collaborate closely with Finance, Operations, Purchasing, and Logistics departments, as well as vendors, to resolve process-related queries and circulate necessary reports.
- Create and distribute periodic Management Information System (MIS) reports for internal analysis, focusing on invoice processing, vendor payment trends, and supporting internal teams such as finance and procurement.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and company policies, maintaining accurate records and documentation.
- Reconcile all accounts payable-related general ledger accounts and perform monthly internal control reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.
- Support internal and external audits related to the Accounts Payable process, providing necessary documentation and insights.
- Perform any additional duties as assigned by management to support the finance function and organizational objectives.
