Ethamozhy Coir Cluster Private Limited is a collaborative initiative between coir industry artisans, small business owners in the Ethamozhy area of Kanyakumari District, and the Government of India. Supported by the Coir Board as the Nodal Agency, the organization focuses on developing and promoting innovative and technologically advanced products using Bristle Coir Fibre, a unique local resource. It aims to elevate the traditional coir industry by fostering innovation, enabling commercialization, and generating sustainable economic growth in the region.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Nagercoil for an Accountant. The Accountant will handle daily financial transactions, including preparing financial records, maintaining ledgers, reconciling accounts, and managing budgets. The individual will also prepare accurate financial reports, ensure compliance with government regulations, and assist in audits. Additionally, the Accountant will collaborate with team members to provide timely and accurate financial insights to support decision-making processes.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in accounting principles, financial reporting, and ledger management
- Strong skills in bookkeeping, account reconciliation, and handling payroll processes
- Experience with accounting software and tools, such as Tally, or similar applications
- Attention to detail and ability to ensure accuracy while managing financial records
- Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance in India
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to support financial decision-making
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Effective organizational and communication skills to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or small business environment is a plus
