About the Role
Divinelane runs an inventory-heavy operation in the jewellery and gemstones space. We are looking for an accountant who can own day-to-day books with a strong grip on inventory accounting, statutory compliance, and the reconciliation discipline this category demands. You will work on-site in Jaipur, close to the inventory and the operations team, and report into the vertical’s finance lead.
What you’ll own
End-to-end bookkeeping and ledger maintenance, with a particular focus on inventory accounting, valuation, and movement in a high-SKU jewellery / gemstones environment.
Inventory reconciliations — stock vs. books, physical verification support, and resolving variances with the operations team.
GST compliance: timely returns, input tax credit reconciliation, and handling category-specific nuances.
Income tax workings, TDS, and support for assessments and audits.
Monthly closing, schedules, and management reporting in Google Sheets / Excel.
Vendor and customer reconciliations, payments, and receivables tracking.
Maintaining clean, audit-ready records and supporting statutory and internal audits.
What we’re looking for
Minimum 3 years of accounting experience in an inventory-heavy business — this is a firm requirement, and your experience working with physical stock and reconciliations matters more to us than your qualification on paper.
Educational background:
B.Com / M.Com, or a CA pursuant / dropout who has built practical accounting depth. Strong hands-on experience will be weighed ahead of the degree.
Working proficiency in income tax, GST, and core accounting principles.
Strong command of Google Sheets and Excel — comfortable with lookups, pivots, and building reconciliations independently.
Preferred (not mandatory)
Prior experience in the jewellery or gemstones sector.
Hands-on knowledge of Zoho Books.
Location: Jaipur. This is a work-from-office role — the work requires presence near inventory and the on-site team.
