Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Accountant role based in Rajarhat. The Accountant will manage day-to-day bookkeeping, including recording transactions, maintaining ledgers, and reconciling bank statements. The role includes preparing invoices, monitoring accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring timely payments to vendors and from clients. The Accountant will assist in preparing financial statements, management reports, and project cost summaries, as well as supporting budgeting and cash flow planning. The position also involves ensuring compliance with applicable tax regulations, coordinating with external auditors or consultants, maintaining organized financial records, and collaborating with project and site teams to track expenses and project profitability.
Qualifications
- Strong accounting fundamentals, including knowledge of bookkeeping, ledgers, trial balance, and financial statement preparation.
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Tally or similar), MS Excel, and other basic MS Office tools for reporting and analysis.
- Understanding of Indian taxation (GST, TDS) and compliance requirements relevant to the construction or infrastructure sector.
- Attention to detail, strong numerical skills, and the ability to analyze and interpret financial data accurately.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with project, procurement, and management teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CA Inter, CMA Inter) are an advantage.
- Prior experience in accounting within construction, real estate, or project-based industries is preferred.
- Ability to work on-site in Rajarhat on a full-time basis and manage multiple tasks with integrity and accountability.
Salary Range - 15,000/- to 18,000/-
