Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Accountant role based in Navi Mumbai. The Accountant will handle day-to-day financial operations, including recording transactions, maintaining ledgers, and reconciling accounts. Responsibilities include preparing invoices, monitoring accounts payable and receivable, assisting with payroll processing, and supporting monthly and annual closing activities. The role also involves preparing financial reports, supporting budgeting and cost control for logistics operations, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and local regulations. The Accountant will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to provide accurate financial information that supports effective business decisions.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles with experience in bookkeeping, general ledger management, and account reconciliation.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel, including working with spreadsheets, formulas, and financial reporting tools.
- Ability to manage accounts payable and receivable, invoice processing, and cash flow tracking with high attention to detail.
- Experience in preparing financial statements, assisting with budgeting, and supporting month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Understanding of local tax regulations, statutory compliance, and basic payroll processes.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and support operational decisions.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with operations, logistics, and management teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CA Inter, CMA, or equivalent) is an advantage.
- Prior experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or a related industry is beneficial.
- Ability to work on-site in Navi Mumbai and manage responsibilities in a fast-paced, growing organization.
