Role Description The Accountant will manage day-to-day financial operations, including bookkeeping, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries. The role involves preparing financial statements, assisting with budgeting, monitoring project expenses, and supporting cost control for construction and design projects. The Accountant will ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies, and will coordinate with project managers and leadership to provide accurate financial reports. The position also includes maintaining organized financial records, supporting audits, and identifying opportunities to improve financial processes. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Indore.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong core accounting skills, including bookkeeping, general ledger management, and preparation of financial statements.
- Candidates should possess skills in budgeting, cost control, and financial analysis, ideally with exposure to construction or project-based accounting.
- Candidates should possess proficiency with accounting software, spreadsheets (e.g., Excel), and basic ERP or financial management systems.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of tax regulations, compliance requirements, and audit support practices relevant to business operations.
- Candidates should possess strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and the ability to maintain organized financial records.
- Candidates should possess effective communication skills, the ability to collaborate with project and site teams, and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
- A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field is preferred.
- Relevant experience in an accounting role, preferably in construction, infrastructure, or project-based environments, will be beneficial.
