Role Description The Accountant role at Ambika Agencies is a full-time, on-site position based in Tiruppur. The accountant will handle day-to-day bookkeeping, including recording transactions, maintaining ledgers, and reconciling bank accounts. Responsibilities include preparing invoices, tracking accounts receivable and payable, and supporting inventory-related accounting for spare parts. The role also involves assisting with monthly and annual financial statements, The accountant will collaborate with the operations and sales teams, provide regular financial reports to management, and help streamline accounting processes for better accuracy and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong accounting fundamentals, including knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping, ledger management, and basic financial reporting.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, Excel-based accounting tools) and be comfortable working with spreadsheets and ERP or inventory systems.
- Candidates should possess skills in accounts receivable and payable management, invoicing, bank reconciliation, and cash handling.
- Candidates should possess familiarity with Indian taxation and compliance, such as GST, TDS, and statutory filing requirements.
- Candidates should possess attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records.
- Candidates should possess strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a busy trading environment.
- Candidates should possess clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
- Relevant educational background such as a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or an equivalent field; professional certifications are an advantage.
- Prior experience as an accountant or accounts assistant, preferably in trading, distribution, or automotive spare parts, is beneficial.
