Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Accountant. Based in Shillong, the Accountant will handle daily financial transactions, prepare financial reports, manage budgets, ensure accuracy of financial records, and verify compliance with tax regulations. Responsibilities include reconciling accounts, processing invoices, analyzing financial data, and supporting audits. Collaboration with team members to enhance financial processes and ensure operational efficiency is also expected.
Qualifications
- Strong accounting skills, including knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Proficiency in using accounting software and tools such as Tally, QuickBooks, or other similar platforms
- Analytical skills to interpret and analyze financial data, along with attention to detail and accuracy
- Knowledge of tax regulations, audits, and budget management processes
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Professional certifications such as CA, CPA, or equivalent are a plus
- Experience in the education industry or similar sectors is preferred
