Account Team Lead — Influencer Marketing

ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a Senior Manager to own client relationships, drive influencer marketing strategy, and lead a small team at Unity Media. This is a high-ownership, client-facing role that sits at the intersection of strategy, creator partnerships, and campaign execution.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. End-to-End Client Relationship Ownership
– Act as single point of contact and strategic advisor for key client accounts
– Own the complete campaign lifecycle — onboarding, planning, execution, reporting, and renewals
– Build senior-level relationships with brand stakeholders and ensure long-term partnership continuity
2. Strategic Advisory — Influencer Marketing
– Advise clients on influencer marketing strategy aligned to their brand and business objectives
– Recommend creator mix, platforms, content formats, campaign structures, and budget allocation
– Provide proactive guidance on trends, platform changes, and competitive activity
– Act as a long-term growth consultant, not just an execution partner
3. Revenue Growth & Client Retention
– Own revenue targets for assigned accounts; drive growth through upsells and long-term planning
– Identify new monetisation opportunities within existing client portfolios
– Ensure high retention through performance delivery and proactive account management
4. Creator Discovery & Vetting
– Lead creator discovery using internal tools, platforms, and manual research
– Personally vet creators on audience quality, brand safety, past collaborations, and performance
– Build and manage a high-quality creator pipeline aligned to client categories
– Guide junior team members on discovery quality and creator selection standards
5. Creator Outreach, Negotiation & Onboarding
– Lead direct outreach to creators and talent managers
– Negotiate commercials, deliverables, timelines, and usage rights in line with campaign ROI goals
– Finalise onboarding, contracts, compliance documentation, and payment processes
6. Campaign Execution & Creator Coordination
– Own day-to-day coordination with creators from brief to publishing
– Track deliverables, timelines, approvals, and go-live schedules across all active campaigns
– Resolve execution issues and last-minute changes with minimal client impact
7. Creator Relationship Management
– Build long-term creator relationships beyond individual campaign engagements
– Drive creator loyalty through consistent communication and performance-based re-engagement
– Identify emerging creators early and cultivate relationships before demand drives up pricing
8. Performance Reporting & Budget Ownership
– Provide regular campaign status updates and end-to-end performance reporting
– Track and report on CPM, CPV, CPL, ER, ROAS, and CAC — connecting metrics to client outcomes
– Own per-campaign and per-account budget allocation, pacing, and ROI tracking
– Translate performance data into forward-looking recommendations that drive retention and upsell
9. Team & Process Leadership
– Lead, coach, and evaluate a small team of Associates and Interns
– Build scalable processes for discovery, onboarding, execution, and reporting
– Collaborate closely with Sales and Finance to drive business outcomes
– Plan hiring and transitions to ensure zero delivery disruption
10. Product Feedback & Process Automation
– Act as the voice of operations and clients in product and tool development discussions
– Identify workflow gaps, manual bottlenecks, and inefficiencies across the campaign lifecycle
– Propose and drive automation opportunities to reduce manual effort and human errors
– Partner with product teams to design, test, and implement features that improve team productivity
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Experience
– 5+ years in brand marketing or agency roles, with 3–4 years focused on influencer marketing
– Strong understanding of influencer campaigns across Instagram, YouTube, and LinkedIn
– Experience working with senior stakeholders at D2C or consumer brands
– Experience mentoring junior team members and building processes from scratch
Skills & Knowledge
– Comfortable with marketing metrics: CPM, CPV, CPL, ROAS, ER, CAC — able to turn data into actionable recommendations
– Familiarity with UTM tracking, creator boosting, and whitelisting is a plus
– Good understanding of the Indian D2C and consumer brand ecosystem
– Proficient with tools like Claude, Excel, and Google Sheets

– Able to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously and solve issues quickly under pressure
