Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Account Manager role based in Cuddalore. The Account Manager is responsible for managing customer accounts, handling inquiries, preparing quotations, and processing orders for iron and steel products. The role involves coordinating with the warehouse and logistics teams to ensure accurate stock allocation and on-time deliveries. The Account Manager will maintain regular communication with existing clients, identify new business opportunities, and support basic credit and payment follow-ups. Day-to-day tasks also include updating account records, tracking sales performance, and providing after-sales support to ensure customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Strong customer relationship management and client service skills, with the ability to handle inquiries and resolve issues professionally.
- Sales and negotiation capabilities, including experience in preparing quotations, closing deals, and identifying new business opportunities.
- Basic knowledge of iron and steel products (e.g., pipes, angles, channels) or willingness to learn product specifications and applications.
- Solid organizational and administrative skills for managing account records, order documentation, and follow-ups.
- Proficiency in using spreadsheets and basic business software for tracking orders, inventory, and sales data.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills in English and local language, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work on-site in Cuddalore, collaborate with operations and logistics teams, and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience in trading, distribution, or construction materials will be an advantage; a relevant diploma or degree in business, commerce, or a related field is preferred.
