I-Saksham Education and Learning Foundation is a grassroots nonprofit organization focused on empowering young women from marginalized communities, particularly in Bihar. Established in 2015, the organization supports women's leadership development through its flagship "Edu-Leader Fellowship," a two-year program emphasizing education, gender equity, and community leadership. To date, i-Saksham has trained over 1,200 Edu-Leaders across five districts, impacting more than 25,000 children and adolescents. Its initiatives promote confidence, agency, educational inclusion, and civic engagement, fostering young women as leaders and role models. I-Saksham collaborates with local organizations, federations, schools, and national platforms to drive impactful change.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Account Manager role based in Jamui. The Account Manager will manage financial operations, including budgeting, accounting, and financial reporting, to ensure compliance with organizational policies and legal requirements. Responsibilities include overseeing donor funds allocation, maintaining financial records, and ensuring transparency in financial transactions. Additionally, the role includes developing operational efficiency, preparing financial strategies, and engaging with multiple stakeholders to ensure seamless financial management at the organization.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting
- Knowledge of compliance regulations and experience managing donor funds
- Proven skills in stakeholder engagement and relationship management
- Attention to detail, analytical thinking, and organizational abilities
- Familiarity with nonprofit financial systems or rural development projects is advantageous
- Proficiency in tools like MS Excel and accounting software
- Relevant degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
- Effective communication and leadership abilities
