About The Role
The Account Manager role at Procter & Gamble is a critical position focused on driving sales growth and building robust relationships with customers. This role involves managing a portfolio of products and services, engaging with clients, and executing strategic sales initiatives. As the primary point of contact for third-party business partners, the Account Manager is responsible for developing and implementing business plans, ensuring contract compliance, and achieving sales targets. The position offers an opportunity to lead market initiatives, guide sales teams, and contribute directly to the company's growth objectives. Reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Executive Officer (CCEO), the Account Manager acts as the single point of contact (SPOC) for PGHL when dealing with third-party partners, ensuring seamless coordination and execution of sales strategies.
Qualifications
Ideal candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Science (BSc), Commerce (BCom), or an MBA qualification, with a preference for candidates with relevant experience in sales or account management. Strong analytical skills, proficiency in data analysis, and the ability to create compelling presentations (PPT) are essential. Candidates should demonstrate excellent communication skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Prior experience in sales planning, customer engagement, and managing third-party relationships will be advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies in collaboration with third-party partners to achieve business growth objectives.
- Work closely with third-party supervisors and sales teams to monitor performance, provide coaching, and ensure seamless execution of market initiatives.
- Conduct regular store visits, market assessments, and engagement activities to understand customer needs and promote product benefits effectively.
- Implement and track the execution of promotional schemes, offers, and in-store assets to maximize visibility and sales.
- Ensure adherence to contractual agreements, monitor compliance, and communicate progress to the sales management team.
- Drive collection of retailing data, including weekly and monthly orders, and analyze sales performance metrics such as sell-in and sell-out targets.
- Manage inventory norms, staffing levels, and ensure proper implementation of store assets and promotional activities.
- Identify growth opportunities, key drivers, and business priorities to close gaps and accelerate revenue growth.
- Build capability within sales teams, conduct joint business planning sessions, and oversee the implementation of team performance metrics such as call coverage and market penetration.
- Maintain a high standard of operational excellence by ensuring timely reporting, data analysis, and strategic decision-making based on market insights.
