About The Role
The Account Manager role at Procter & Gamble is a vital position focused on driving sales growth and strengthening customer relationships within the Indian market, specifically in Mumbai. This position involves managing a portfolio of products and services, engaging with current and potential clients, and executing strategic sales plans. As the primary point of contact for third-party business partners, the Account Manager is responsible for ensuring seamless collaboration, adherence to contractual obligations, and achievement of sales targets. Reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Executive Officer (CCEO), the Account Manager acts as the single point of contact for PGHL when dealing with third-party partners, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and operational excellence.
Qualifications
Educational qualifications required for this role include a Bachelor’s degree in Science (BSc), Commerce (BCom), or an MBA for candidates seeking a competitive edge. Proficiency in data analysis and presentation skills, particularly in creating PowerPoint presentations, is essential. Candidates should demonstrate strong analytical abilities, strategic thinking, and excellent communication skills to effectively interpret market data, develop insights, and communicate strategies to diverse stakeholders. Prior experience in sales, account management, or related roles within the consumer goods industry is preferred, although fresh graduates with relevant internship experience may also be considered.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive business plans in collaboration with third-party partners, focusing on sales growth and market penetration.
- Conduct regular store visits, semi-annual, and account-specific visits to ensure execution of sales strategies, promotional schemes, and brand visibility.
- Oversee the proper download and implementation of monthly schemes and promotional offers at retail outlets.
- Ensure 100% compliance with asset deployment at stores and maintain high standards of brand presence.
- Monitor sales performance, assortment compliance, and new product launches through regular market visits and data collection.
- Drive the sales development team (SD) and seller teams to collect retail data, manage orders, and achieve monthly sales targets (Sell-in and Sell-out).
- Coordinate with third-party supervisors and sellers, providing coaching, guidance, and performance feedback to ensure seamless market execution.
- Track and analyze sales metrics, including call coverage, market penetration, and promotional effectiveness, to identify opportunities and address gaps.
- Ensure timely collection of retail data, manage inventory norms, and maintain compliance with company policies and standards.
- Drive capability building initiatives for the sales team, including conducting monthly joint business planning sessions and training programs.
- Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to team coverage, execution, and overall business growth.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support new product launches, promotional activities, and strategic initiatives.
