About the RoleWe are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Accountant to manage end-to-end accounting operations for a US-based company. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in QuickBooks, a high level of accuracy, and the ability to work independently in a remote work environment.
This is a full-time, work-from-home role requiring ownership of financial records, reconciliations, and reporting, ensuring books are accurate, compliant, and decision-ready at all times.
Key Responsibilities (Role Description)1. Accurate Books Management- Manage and maintain accounting records in QuickBooks Online (QBO)
- Record all financial transactions accurately and on time
- Maintain and update chart of accounts
2. Reconciliations- Perform regular bank, credit card, and intercompany reconciliations
- Identify discrepancies and resolve them proactively
- Ensure zero discrepancies at month-end
3. Financial Reporting- Prepare weekly and monthly financial reportsProfit & Loss Statement
- Cash Flow Statements
- Accounts Receivable/Payable Aging
- Provide clear, actionable insights to management
4. Transaction Classification & Accuracy- Categorize and tag transactions accurately
- Ensure proper allocation across departments/projects
- Maintain clean and audit-ready books
5. Books Review & Cleanup- Assess financial records for accuracy and completeness
- Identify gaps or inconsistencies
- Recommend and implement corrective actions
Must-Have Requirements- Minimum 3 years of experience in QuickBooks (mandatory)
- Experience handling accounting for US-based companies
- Strong knowledge of:
- Bookkeeping principles
- Reconciliation processes
- Financial reporting
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently in a remote setup
Good-to-Have Skills- Experience with tools like Ramp, Mercury, or Xero
- Basic understanding of US accounting/compliance (IRS, sales tax, etc.)
- Experience in startup or outsourced accounting environment
Work Timings- Shift: 7:00 PM to 3:00 AM (IST)**
- (Aligned with US business hours)
Work Mode- 100% Remote / Work From Home
