We're Hiring: Account Manager – Sports PR
Location: New Delhi
Experience: 8+ Years
Qualification: MBA in Marketing, Communications, Business Management, or a related field
We are looking for an experienced Account Manager – Sports PR to lead strategic communication initiatives for sports brands, athletes, leagues, federations, and major sporting events. The ideal candidate will have a strong PR agency background, excellent media relationships, and the ability to deliver high-impact communication campaigns.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute integrated PR and communication strategies for sports brands, athletes, leagues, tournaments, and sporting events across traditional, digital, and social media platforms.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with sports journalists, editors, broadcasters, and digital media to secure impactful media coverage.
- Lead end-to-end execution of Sports PR campaigns, including media outreach, press conferences, athlete interactions, event publicity, crisis communication, and reputation management.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for key client accounts, providing strategic counsel and ensuring successful campaign delivery.
- Support business development through client pitches, proposals, and presentation of communication strategies.
- Manage multiple client accounts while ensuring quality deliverables, adherence to timelines, budgets, and campaign objectives.
- Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
Requirements
- MBA in Marketing, Communications, Business Management, or a related discipline.
- 8+ years of hands-on experience in a PR agency environment.
- Proven experience managing high-profile sports clients, events, leagues, or governing bodies.
- Strong network within the sports media ecosystem.
- Excellent communication, client servicing, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced agency environment.
