We are seeking a skilled Bookkeeping & Finance Executive at our India Office- Topwerk India to strengthen our finance function and support our international growth.
Position Summary
The Bookkeeping & Finance Executive will manage day-to-day financial operations, ensure compliance with Indian statutory requirements and European accounting standards, and provide accurate reporting to management.
- This role requires strong technical knowledge, adaptability to multi-standard environments, and the ability to collaborate across global teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Bookkeeping & Records
- Maintain ledgers, journals, and transaction records in compliance with both Indian and European frameworks.
- Record daily transactions including sales, purchases, receipts, and payments.
- Ensure proper documentation and filing for audits and inspections.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Process vendor invoices, payments, and reconciliations.
- Manage customer invoicing, collections, and credit control.
- Monitor outstanding balances and ensure timely settlements across geographies.
- Financial Reporting
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Align reporting with Indian GAAP, IFRS, and European standards.
- Generate management reports including cash flow, P&L, and balance sheet.
- Budgeting & Forecasting
- Assist in preparing annual budgets and forecasts.
- Monitor variances and provide insights for corrective actions.
- Support management in strategic decision-making with financial analysis.
- Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes.
- Implement best practices in accounting and reporting across regions.
- Contribute to ERP and digital finance transformation initiatives.
- Compliance & Standards
- Ensure compliance with Indian taxation laws (GST, TDS, Income Tax).
- Adhere to European accounting standards, IFRS, and local statutory requirements.
- Liaise with auditors, consultants, and regulatory authorities in both regions.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce (Master’s preferred).
- 6–8 years of proven experience in bookkeeping and finance within manufacturing or industrial sectors.
- Strong knowledge of Indian GAAP, GST, TDS, Income Tax and European accounting standards/IFRS.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle preferred) and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong ethical standards and attention to detail.
