Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Puducherry for an Accounts Executive / Assistant to Chief Operations. The role is best suited for a CMA-qualified candidate or CMA fresher with strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and interest in both accounts and business operations.

The selected candidate will support the company in accounting, ledger reconciliation, costing, product cost analysis, business data analysis, and operational research, while also assisting the Chief Operations in monitoring financial and business performance. The role requires a disciplined, analytical, and proactive individual who can work across functions and contribute to better financial control and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting support functions and maintain financial records accurately.
• Reconcile ledgers, vendor accounts, customer accounts, and inter-departmental balances.
• Assist in preparation and review of account statements, reconciliations, and MIS reports.
• Conduct product costing and support in maintaining accurate cost sheets for various products.
• Analyze raw material cost, conversion cost, packaging cost, overhead allocation, and margin impact.
• Support costing decisions by evaluating changes in material prices, production inputs, and operational expenses.
• Research and compile import-export related data, including pricing trends, duty structures, freight impact, and market comparisons.
• Assist management with detailed analysis of various business factors affecting profitability, procurement, operations, and sales realization.
• Prepare analytical reports for management review to support business planning and operational decision-making.
• Coordinate with accounts, purchase, production, and commercial teams for data collection and verification.
• Assist the Chief Operations in tracking operational performance, costs, process efficiency, and reporting requirements.
• Support internal controls, documentation, and process improvement initiatives.
• Help in identifying cost-saving opportunities and improving reporting accuracy across departments.

Qualifications

• CMA passout / CMA Inter / CMA-qualified fresher preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Good understanding of accounting principles, ledger reconciliation, and costing concepts.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to interpret data and prepare meaningful business analysis reports.
• Good knowledge of Excel, MS Office, and accounting/reporting tools.
• Understanding of manufacturing accounts, cost structures, and inventory-related analysis will be an advantage.
• Interest in import-export data research, commercial analysis, and operational support functions.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work in a structured, fast-paced manufacturing environment.
