Role Description
This is a full-time Remote role for an Account Manager specialized in U.S. accounting workflows. The Account Manager will focus on maintaining high-level client relationships, ensuring the accuracy of financial deliverables, and managing the end-to-end accounting cycle. Responsibilities include overseeing QuickBooks Online (QBO) ecosystems, managing Accounts Payable (AP) automation, and leading the Month-End Closing process to ensure client satisfaction and reporting integrity.
- Client Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for U.S.-based clients, providing expert guidance on their daily financial operations.
- QBO Ecosystem Management: Oversee the health and accuracy of client QuickBooks Online files, including bank reconciliations and app integrations.
- AP Management: Streamline the Accounts Payable process, ensuring timely vendor payments, 1099 compliance, and digital workflow efficiency.
- Month-End Closing: Lead the full month-end close process, including adjusting journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and the preparation of P&L statements.
- Financial Oversight: Monitor financial data for trends or discrepancies and provide insights to clients to enhance their business outcomes.
- Internal Collaboration: Work closely with the backend production team to ensure all US-specific tax and accounting standards (GAAP) are met.
Qualification
- Technical Proficiency: Expert-level knowledge of QuickBooks Online (QBO) and integrated financial tech stacks (e.g., Bill.com, Expensify).
- U.S. Accounting Experience: Proven experience managing U.S. Account Workflows, specifically AP processing and complex Month-End closings.
- Financial Literacy: Strong understanding of financial statements, accrual vs. cash accounting, and U.S. financial reporting requirements.
- Account Management: 3+ years of experience managing client portfolios in an accounting, bookkeeping, or BPO environment.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written English skills, capable of explaining financial nuances to U.S. business owners.
- Problem-Solving: Analytical mindset with the ability to identify bottlenecks in financial workflows and implement solutions.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
