Role: Accounts Executive
Location: Bengaluru (On-site), Mon - Sat (10am - 7pm)
Department: Finance & Operations
Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Executive to manage day-to-day accounting operations, support financial reporting, and ensure compliance. The role involves maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and assisting the Finance Manager in operational and reporting tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Finance Operations & Controls
- Maintain accurate entries in Zoho Books and ensure readiness for audits.
- Process and reconcile vendor payments, billing, and bank transactions.
- Assist in statutory compliance including TDS, GST, and professional tax filings.
- Support the Finance Manager in reviewing financial entries and records.
Cost Control & Cash Flow
- Assist in tracking cash flow and preparing basic inflow/outflow reports.
- Monitor vendor payments and working capital cycles.
- Support cost analysis and identify potential efficiencies.
Inventory & Operations Support
- Collaborate with the supply team to maintain accurate inventory records.
- Highlight risks such as stockouts, overstocking, or dead inventory
- Support efforts to optimize inventory turnover and cash efficiency.
Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare monthly MIS reports and basic financial dashboards for internal review
- Support preparation of reports required by the Finance Manager and Founders.
- Assist in compiling data for statutory, audit, or investor reporting requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance
- 2–4 years of experience in accounting or finance operations
- Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, and statutory compliance
- Proficiency with accounting software such as Zoho Books, Tally, or QuickBooks
- Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills (formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP)
- Familiarity with banking operations, reconciliation, and payment tracking
- Analytical mindset and high attention to detail
Nice to Have
- Experience in D2C, e-commerce, or startup environments
- Exposure to inventory accounting and cost tracking
- Knowledge of payments and reconciliations for online platforms
