About Us
Celestial Meridian Shipping Pvt. Ltd. (CMS) is a marine services company operating Marine Consultancy Services. We support ship owners and managers with Inspections across the maritime industry.
Role Overview
We're looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Executive to manage day-to-day accounting operations and support the finance function. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants hands-on exposure to accounting in a dynamic, marine services business.
Key Responsibilities
- Email communication with various parties and necessary follow-ups.
- Setting reminders and follow-ups.
- Maintain day-to-day books of accounts including purchase, sales, and journal entries
- Handle invoicing, payment tracking, and vendor/client reconciliations
- Prepare and file GST returns and support other statutory compliance (TDS, PF, etc.)
- Assist with bank reconciliations and cash flow tracking
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities
- Coordinate with clients and inspectors during Inspections
- Maintain accurate records of receivables and payables
- Generate periodic MIS reports for management review
- Support budgeting and expense tracking across departments
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance (B.Com/M.Com preferred)
- 2–4 years of relevant experience in accounting/finance roles freshers maybe considered
- Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, ppt) and Acrobat
- Fluency in Written (grammatically correct) & Spoken English
- Strong attention to detail
- Punctuality and good organizing skills
- Good communication skills; ability to work independently and in a team
- Pleasant personality, disciplined and well mannered
- Enthusiastic and ready for challenges
Nice to Have
- Prior experience in shipping, marine services, or a services-based industry
- Familiarity with accounting software beyond Tally (e.g., Zoho Books, QuickBooks)
- Prefer candidates from within 10-15km from Chembur
