Roles & Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including bookkeeping, journal entries, and maintaining ledgers using software such as Tally or QuickBooks.
- Handle accounts payable/receivable, invoicing, bill processing, and expense tracking to maintain the financial health of client organisations.
- Prepare and finalise financial statements, trial balances, and reports for audits and statutory requirements.
- Assist in audit activities by providing necessary documentation, resolving discrepancies, and supporting internal/external audits.
- Reconcile bank statements, petty cash, and vendor ledgers on a regular basis.
- Ensure regulatory compliance in GST, TDS, and other statutory filings as required by Indian accounting standards.
- Support the team with ad-hoc finance and accounting tasks as required by management.
- Liaise directly with clients for documentation, query resolution, and day-to-day updates on financial processes.
- Coordinate with other departments for routine operations, expense tracking, and process improvement.
- Maintain add update invoices, customer accounts, and billing records; ensure timely collection of receivables.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
- 1–3 years of experience as an Account Executive or similar role in accounting/finance.
- Strong understanding of principles of accounting, bookkeeping practices, and Indian taxation.
- Proficiency in tools such as Tally, QuickBooks, Excel, Zoho Books and other accounting software.
- Good analytical, organisational, and communication skills to interact with clients and team members.
- Ability to work independently within a small, fast-paced team environment.
- Experience in statutory compliance (GST, TDS, audit documentation) is highly desirable.
