Job Description – Accounts Executive
Position: Accounts Executive
Department: Accounts & Finance Location: Vasai Experience Required: 1–3 years in accounting, billing, or finance operations Qualification: B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance) Salary Range: As per company norms
Role Overview
The Accounts Executive will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, including billing, GST entries, purchase and sales accounting, bank reconciliation, vendor payments, and documentation. The role requires strong knowledge of Tally Prime, accuracy in financial records, and timely coordination with internal departments.
Key Responsibilities
1. Accounting & Bookkeeping
Maintain day-to-day accounting entries in Tally Prime
Handle sales, purchase, and expense entries
Prepare and verify sales invoices, debit/credit notes, and supporting documents
Maintain customer and vendor ledgers with accuracy
Ensure timely posting of all financial transactions
2. GST & Statutory Compliance
Prepare and verify GST entries, input credit, and tax calculations
Assist in monthly GST returns and reconciliation
Maintain statutory documentation for audits
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies
3. Bank & Cash Management
Perform bank reconciliation on a daily/weekly basis
Monitor cash flow, petty cash, and fund requirements
Coordinate with banks for payments, RTGS/NEFT, and statements
4. Vendor & Customer Coordination
Follow up with vendors for invoices, statements, and clarifications
Coordinate with customers for payment follow-ups and reconciliation
Resolve discrepancies in billing, ledgers, and documentation
5. Reporting & Documentation
Prepare daily/weekly/monthly MIS reports
Maintain proper filing of invoices, vouchers, and financial documents
Support internal and external audits with required data
Ensure accuracy and completeness of all financial records
Required Skills & Competencies
Strong proficiency in Tally Prime, MS Excel, and basic ERP functions
Good understanding of GST, TDS, and accounting principles
Accuracy in data entry and documentation
Strong analytical and numerical skills
Effective communication and coordination abilities
Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple tasks
