Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Account Assistant role based in Rajkot. The Account Assistant will support day-to-day accounting operations, including recording financial transactions, maintaining ledgers, and assisting with preparation of invoices, payment vouchers, and basic financial reports. The role involves handling petty cash, supporting credit control activities such as follow-up on outstanding payments, and coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders for finance-related documentation. The Account Assistant will help ensure that records are accurate, organized, and compliant with company policies and relevant regulations. The position also includes assisting senior finance team members during audits, month-end closing, and other periodic financial activities.
Qualifications
- Strong accounting and finance skills, including basic bookkeeping, ledger maintenance, and understanding of financial documentation.
- Experience or familiarity with credit control and petty cash management, including tracking expenses and supporting collections.
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and clients in a clear and professional manner.
- Proficiency with MS Excel and basic accounting software; ability to work with numerical data accurately and efficiently.
- Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Relevant educational background such as a diploma or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, or a related field.
- Ability to work collaboratively in an on-site team environment in Rajkot and maintain confidentiality of financial information.
- Prior experience in an accounting or accounts assistant role in a manufacturing or project-based industry is an advantage.
