Job details:
Job Title: Accessory Designer
Location: Netaji Subhash Place
Company: MARS Cosmetics
About MARS Cosmetics:
MARS Cosmetics is a globally recognized beauty brand that thrives on innovation, diversity, and empowering individuals through high-quality beauty solutions. Headquartered in New Delhi, MARS Cosmetics is committed to offering groundbreaking products that meet the ever-evolving needs of consumers worldwide.
About The Role:
Design and develop non-product accessories — pouches, GWPs, kits, secondary packaging, PR mailers, influencer kits, and retail/counter accessories. Own the brief-to-bulk journey: concept → tech pack → vendor sampling → costing → final production handover.
What you'll actually do:
- Translate marketing/brand briefs into manufacturable designs (sketches, CADs, tech packs with material, dimensions, BOM, finishes).
- Source materials and finishes — PU/PVC/canvas/nylon/non-woven/RPET for pouches; paperboard, rigid box, EVA, flocking, magnets for kits.
- Work directly with India and China vendors: sampling, fit checks, lab dips, print proofs, FPP approvals.
- Cost-engineer designs — hit per-unit landed cost targets without killing the aesthetic.
- Coordinate with marketing, packaging, procurement, and QC. Build timelines backward from launch dates.
- Track trends in beauty accessories, GWP formats, and unboxing — translate, don't copy.
Must-have:
- 3–6 years designing soft goods, packaging, or accessories — beauty, fashion, or lifestyle background works.
- Fluent in Illustrator, Photoshop; CAD/3D (Rhino, Clo3D, or KeyShot) is a plus.
- Hands-on with vendors. Has read a tech pack, argued over a stitch density, rejected a sample.
- Understands materials and processes: screen/digital/sublimation print, embossing, foiling, debossing, RF welding, injection moulding basics.
- Cost-aware. Can tell you why a zip pouch lands at ₹45 vs ₹95.
Nice-to-have:
- China vendor exposure (Yiwu, Guangzhou, Shenzhen).
- Sustainability literacy — recycled materials, mono-material design, end-of-life thinking.
