About DROPZ
DROPZ is India's first true limited-edition platform, a culture-forward destination where every product drop is rare, intentional, and never restocked. We aren't just building a brand; we're building a platform that curates stories through exclusive in-house drops, creator collaborations, and collectible releases across fashion, lifestyle, and beyond. Every drop is a moment, but the platform is the big picture and our brand must ignite cultural hype.
As an Accessories Designer, you will own the details that make a drop feel truly collectible, from trims and hardware to bags, caps, socks, jewelry, and packaging touchpoints. This is a 0 to 100 startup environment where you will move fast, make calls, and ship with taste, precision, and accountability, while building systems and culture that keep quality high as we scale.
What Youll Do
Translate each drop story into accessories directions by building tight references, moodboards, and silhouette options, then align early with brand and apparel so every accessory looks intentional inside the full collection narrative.
Design accessories across categories (bags, headwear, jewelry, belts, small leather goods, socks) by iterating sketches into clean digital drawings, then present options with clear notes on proportion, functionality, finishes, and manufacturing intent.
Build production ready tech packs with accurate measurements, construction callouts, colorways, artwork placements, and hardware specifications, so vendors can sample correctly with minimal back and forth and fewer revision cycles.
Own trims and hardware selection by sourcing zippers, buckles, clasps, rings, snaps, labels, and branded components, then evaluate durability, weight, feel, plating, and visual impact while staying aligned to cost and timeline realities.
Partner with sourcing and production to shortlist vendors, request quotations, and compare material and component options, then document decisions clearly so the team can move quickly without losing design intent.
Run the sampling loop end to end by tracking timelines, updating spec revisions, and preparing review decks, ensuring each iteration has clear pass fail notes and next steps tied to the drop deadline.
Review samples for functionality and finishing (stitch quality, alignment, strength, edge paint, polish, coating, closures), then propose specific improvements with photos, markups, and actionable corrections for the vendor.
Ensure accessories match the collection palette and storytelling by coordinating with apparel design and brand, and by refining small details (logos, labels, packaging, hangtags) that elevate the in hand experience.
Maintain clean documentation for every style (version history, BOM basics, vendor notes, approvals, risks), so handoffs are smooth and decisions stay traceable in a high speed workflow.
Support production readiness by confirming final specs, packaging details, and placement guidelines, then flag risks early to protect quality, timelines, and drop moment consistency.
Who You Are
You have 12 to 24 months of experience in accessories design or product design adjacent work, and you can show a portfolio that demonstrates taste, detail control, and practical construction thinking across at least a few accessory categories.
You notice what makes accessories feel premium, like proportion, hardware selection, edge finishing, weight, comfort, and usability, and you can explain your decisions in simple, direct design language.
You can sketch quickly and translate ideas into clean digital outputs and tech pack level clarity, so teammates and vendors can execute without confusion or repeated clarification loops.
You understand materials and construction basics (stitching, bonding, plating, printing, hardware assembly), and you actively learn by testing samples, comparing finishes, and documenting what works and what fails.
You are organized with files, versions, measurements, and notes, and you keep timelines visible so sampling and approvals do not stall because of missing information or unclear ownership.
You take feedback well and iterate fast, turning comments into concrete action items and improved outputs, while keeping the drop story and quality bar consistent through each revision.
You thrive in a 0 to 100 startup pace, you take accountability, you push work to completion without reminders, and you help build a high ownership culture that stays healthy under pressure.
You collaborate smoothly with design, brand, sourcing, and production, and you communicate early about risks, tradeoffs, and decisions so small issues do not become late stage surprises.
You care about craftsmanship and quality checks, and you are comfortable calling out issues with specifics and solutions, not vague reactions, so the final product earns hype in hand and on camera.
You bring long term intent, you want to grow with DROPZ, and you are excited by the idea of building a collectible driven platform, not just designing products in isolation.
What We Offer
Real ownership with real impact, you will design and ship accessories that go live in limited drops, and your decisions will directly shape how the brand feels to customers the moment they open the package.
Growth through responsibility, you will build from 0 to 100 with a team that moves fast, expects high standards, and rewards consistent ownership with bigger scope and trust over time.
Creative freedom with structure, you get clear drop narratives, direct feedback loops, and the space to push fresh ideas while staying grounded in execution, manufacturability, and finish quality.
