Role Description The Academic Research Writer will work full time on-site in India, supporting clients with end-to-end academic research and writing needs. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting comprehensive literature reviews, analyzing academic sources, and drafting well-structured research documents such as proposals, theses, dissertations, and journal articles. The role involves refining arguments, ensuring clarity and coherence, and adhering to specific academic styles and citation guidelines. The Academic Research Writer will collaborate with clients to understand project requirements, provide regular updates, and incorporate feedback into revised drafts. The position also includes maintaining strict standards of academic integrity, meeting deadlines, and contributing to the continuous improvement of internal templates and processes.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Research and Analytical Skills for sourcing, evaluating, and synthesizing academic literature.
- Candidates should possess advanced Research Writing and Writing skills for producing clear, structured, and publication-ready documents.
- Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills for interacting with clients, understanding requirements, and explaining complex ideas.
- Master’s or PhD in a relevant discipline (e.g., social sciences, management, engineering, or related fields) is preferred.
- Familiarity with academic styles (APA, MLA, Chicago, etc.) and experience with citation management tools is beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to manage multiple projects, and commitment to ethical research practices are required.
- Prior experience in academic writing, publication support, or research consultancy will be an advantage.
