Role Description The Academic Intern – Mathematics will support the Mathematics department with classroom assistance, lesson preparation, and student engagement in an on-site, full-time role based in Bengaluru. Responsibilities include helping teachers with instructional materials, assisting in the delivery of lessons, and providing academic support to students under supervision. The intern will contribute to grading formative assessments, maintaining learning resources, and organizing small group activities and remediation sessions. The role also involves participating in departmental meetings, observing best practices in teaching and learning, and supporting co-curricular or enrichment initiatives related to Mathematics.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Mathematics, ideally with ongoing or completed undergraduate studies in Mathematics, Education, or a related field.
- Ability to explain mathematical concepts clearly and support diverse learners in an international school environment.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to working with teachers and students.
- Organizational and time-management skills to handle lesson preparation, resource management, and classroom support.
- Comfort with basic educational technology and digital tools used in teaching, learning, and assessment.
- Demonstrated interest in school-based experience, teaching, or mentoring; prior tutoring or classroom exposure is an advantage.
