Role Description :- This is a full-time, on-site Academic Counselor role based in Raipur. The Academic Counselor will guide prospective and current learners in understanding academic programs, course structures, and eligibility criteria, and will support them in making informed educational and career choices. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting student counseling sessions (in-person, telephonic, and online), responding to inquiries, and maintaining accurate records of interactions and follow-ups. The role involves coordinating with academic, operations, and marketing teams to ensure smooth admissions, orientation, and ongoing learner support. The Academic Counselor will also participate in outreach activities, seminars, and events, provide feedback on student needs, and contribute to continuous improvement of academic advising processes.
Qualifications
- Student-focused counseling abilities, including Student Counseling and Career Counseling skills.
- Strong Academic Advising and Education-related knowledge to guide learners on suitable programs and pathways.
- Effective Communication skills, including clear spoken and written communication, active listening, and empathetic engagement.
- Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Education, Psychology, Counseling, Management, or a related field); a master’s degree is an advantage.
- Prior experience in academic counseling, admissions, or student support within an educational institution or training organization is preferred.
- Ability to work with targets and timelines, manage multiple inquiries, and maintain organized documentation.
- Proficiency with basic office software and CRM or student management systems; comfort with phone, email, and online counseling tools.
- Professional, inclusive, and ethical approach to working with learners from diverse backgrounds.
