Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Academic Counselor role based in Gurugram. The Academic Counselor will guide students and families in selecting appropriate courses, curricula, and learning paths aligned with academic goals and interests. Responsibilities include conducting one-on-one counseling sessions, understanding student needs, and recommending suitable tutors and programs on the WONK platform. The role involves tracking student progress, maintaining accurate records, and coordinating with tutors and internal teams to ensure a positive learning experience. The Academic Counselor will also support career and academic planning, respond to inquiries from students and parents, and contribute to outreach or information sessions as needed.
Qualifications
- Strong student-focused skills, including Student Counseling and Academic Advising, with the ability to understand individual learning needs and goals.
- Experience or interest in Career Counseling and Education, especially within K12 or EdTech environments.
- Excellent Communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage confidently with students, parents, tutors, and internal stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Ability to work on-site in Gurugram, manage multiple cases simultaneously, and maintain organized documentation and follow-ups.
- Comfort using digital tools, CRM or student management systems, and online communication platforms; prior experience in education services or counseling is an advantage.
