Role Description The Academic Counselor is a full-time, on-site role based in Noida, responsible for guiding students through their academic and exam preparation journeys. This role includes conducting one-on-one and group counseling sessions, helping learners choose suitable courses and programs for Ph.D., UGC NET, and competitive exams, and providing ongoing academic advising. The Academic Counselor will assist with admission-related queries, explain program structures, and support students in planning study schedules and exam strategies. Daily tasks also involve maintaining student records, coordinating with faculty and mentors, and contributing to student engagement initiatives such as orientations, workshops, and information sessions.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Student Counseling and Academic Advising skills to support learners at different stages of their academic journey.
- Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills to clearly explain courses, procedures, and exam strategies to diverse groups of students.
- Candidates should possess solid Career Counseling and Education-related knowledge to guide students in selecting appropriate programs and exam paths.
- Candidates should have experience working in educational or coaching institutions, preferably in higher education or competitive exam preparation.
- Candidates should demonstrate empathy, patience, active listening, and the ability to motivate and encourage students.
- Candidates should have strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple student cases and maintain accurate records.
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Education, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with Ph.D. admissions, UGC NET, and other competitive exams, along with basic proficiency in office and online communication tools, is an advantage.
