Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Academic Counselor based in Greater Taung. The Academic Counselor will guide students in educational planning and career development. Key responsibilities include providing academic advising, offering career counseling, assisting with course selection, addressing student concerns, and supporting personal and academic growth. In collaboration with educational institutions, the Academic Counselor will ensure students have the tools needed for success in their academic pursuits.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Student Counseling and Career Counseling to guide students in identifying their academic and professional goals
- Strong Communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and educational staff
- Experience in Academic Advising to support students with course selection and academic planning
- Background in Education to provide a foundational understanding of effective teaching and learning practices
- Ability to build trust and positively influence students' personal and academic development
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required
- Familiarity with educational trends and resources for skill development is a plus
- Empathy, active listening, and organizational skills are valuable attributes for the role
