Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Academic Counselor role based in New Delhi. The Academic Counselor will guide prospective students and their families on international education options, including MBBS Abroad, European pathways, and other global programs. Daily responsibilities include conducting one-on-one counseling sessions, assessing academic profiles, clarifying eligibility, and recommending suitable countries, universities, and courses. The role involves explaining admission processes, timelines, and documentation requirements, as well as coordinating with internal teams for applications, follow-ups, and visa support. The Academic Counselor will maintain accurate student records, respond to inquiries via phone, email, and in-person meetings, and contribute to seminars, webinars, and outreach events to create awareness about TrueMark Edu’s offerings.
Qualifications
- Strong student-facing capabilities, including Student Counseling and Academic Advising skills, with a student-first mindset.
- Excellent Communication abilities, including clear verbal and written communication and active listening.
- Demonstrated expertise in Career Counseling and guiding students toward suitable academic and professional pathways.
- Background or strong interest in Education, international education systems, or related academic services.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Career Counseling, or a related field (master’s degree is an advantage).
- Ability to explain complex admission and visa processes in simple terms and manage multiple cases simultaneously.
- Comfort working in a target-driven, service-oriented environment with high ethical and transparency standards.
- Prior experience in overseas education consulting, academic counseling, or student advisory roles is preferred.
