Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Academic Counselor role based in Pune Division. The Academic Counselor will provide guidance and support to students in identifying suitable educational programs and career paths. Responsibilities include conducting one-on-one counseling sessions, assisting with career and academic planning, advising on course selection, and addressing students’ educational needs and goals. The role requires coordinating with training departments to provide effective academic advice and maintaining proper documentation for student progress and counseling sessions.
Location: Pune
Salary: ₹15,000 – ₹30,000 per month
Experience Required: 6 Months – 1 Year
Job Overview
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Academic Counsellor with an IT background to guide students who are interested in building a career in the IT industry. The ideal candidate should have good communication skills and the ability to explain IT courses such as Java, .NET, and Software Testing (SDET) to prospective students.
Key Responsibilities
Counsel and guide students regarding career opportunities in IT.
Explain course curriculum, training structure, and career prospects to potential students.
Handle inquiries from calls, WhatsApp, social media, and walk-in students.
Convert leads into enrollments through proper counselling and follow-ups.
Maintain records of student inquiries and follow up with interested candidates.
Coordinate with trainers and the academic team for smooth onboarding.
Required Skills
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Basic understanding of IT courses or software development concepts.
Ability to guide and counsel students effectively.
Comfortable handling calls, WhatsApp conversations, and follow-ups.
Eligibility
Graduate in IT / Computer Science / related field preferred.
6 months – 1 year experience in academic counselling, education sales, or student guidance.
