Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Academic Counselor role based in Chennai. The Academic Counselor will be responsible for guiding prospective students through their career and academic options, addressing their queries, and assisting them in choosing suitable courses. Day-to-day tasks include counseling students, providing academic advice, supporting career planning, and ensuring a positive learning experience through ongoing mentorship and communication.
Qualifications
- Student Counseling and Academic Advising skills to effectively guide students in selecting the best learning path
- Strong Communication skills to engage with students and understand their aspirations
- Expertise in Career Counseling and Education to offer tailored guidance and support for career development
- Interpersonal and listening skills to build trust and maintain rapport with students
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with the academic team
- Proficiency in Tamil and/or other regional languages is a plus
- Prior experience in a similar role or in the education sector is preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Counseling, or a relevant field is required
