Role Description The Academic Counselor role is a full-time, on-site position based in Kochi. The counselor will guide learners in selecting appropriate courses and exam pathways, provide academic advising, and support learners in setting realistic study plans and performance goals. Daily responsibilities include conducting individual and group counseling sessions, addressing learner queries, tracking progress, and recommending learning resources to improve outcomes. The role also involves collaborating with faculty and support teams, organizing academic workshops or orientations, and maintaining accurate records of counseling interactions and learner feedback. The Academic Counselor will contribute to learner satisfaction, retention, and success through proactive communication and continuous support.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Student Counseling and Academic Advising skills to support learners’ educational decisions and progress.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to conduct sessions, provide clear guidance, and collaborate with faculty and staff.
- Candidates should possess Career Counseling and Education-related knowledge to help learners align exam preparation with long-term career goals.
- Relevant experience in academic counseling, coaching, or education services is highly beneficial.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field is preferred.
- Ability to work on-site in Kochi, manage multiple learners’ cases, and use digital tools for tracking and reporting.
- Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and a learner-centered approach to problem-solving.
