Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Academic Counsellor Telecalling role based in New Delhi. The Academic Counsellor will handle inbound and outbound calls to prospective learners, provide detailed information about courses, fees, eligibility, and career paths, and guide them through the admission process. The role includes following up on leads from various channels, maintaining accurate records in CRM systems, and achieving enrollment and conversion targets. The individual will counsel learners and their families, understand their goals, and recommend suitable programs aligned with their aspirations. The role also involves coordinating with center staff, supporting walk-in inquiries, participating in local outreach activities, and sharing feedback from prospects to improve communication and processes.
Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including clear spoken English and Hindi, active listening, and the ability to build rapport over the phone.
- Telecalling and customer service experience, preferably in education, training, or counseling environments.
- Basic sales and persuasion skills, with comfort in working toward lead conversion and enrollment targets.
- Good organizational and data-entry skills, with the ability to update and manage records in CRM or spreadsheets accurately.
- Ability to understand academic programs, explain them simply, and match them to learner goals and interests.
- Minimum qualification: completion of higher secondary education; a graduate degree in any discipline is preferred.
- Prior experience in student counseling, admissions, or education sales is an advantage.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment with a strong focus on ethics and learner satisfaction.
