Job Summary
Shiksha Nation is looking to hire dynamic, target-driven, and sales-oriented Academic Counsellors to join our growing team. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 1 year of experience in EdTech sales, preferably with reputed education or EdTech brands.
This role is focused on counselling students and parents, understanding their learning needs, recommending suitable programs, and driving admissions/revenue through effective sales conversion.
Key Responsibilities
• Counsel students and parents about Shiksha Nation’s academic programs and learning solutions.
• Drive end-to-end sales conversion through calling, counselling, follow-ups, and closure.
• Understand student requirements and recommend suitable courses or programs.
• Achieve monthly sales targets and contribute to overall business growth.
• Manage inbound and outbound leads effectively.
• Maintain regular follow-ups with prospective students and parents.
• Build strong relationships with leads to improve conversion rates.
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Maintain accurate records of leads, calls, follow-ups, and sales pipeline.
• Coordinate with internal teams for smooth student onboarding.
• Stay updated on company offerings, pricing, promotions, and competitor activity.
• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in EdTech sales, academic counselling, admission counselling, or inside
sales.
• Prior experience with reputed EdTech or education brands will be preferred.
• Strong communication and persuasion skills.
• Proven ability to achieve sales targets.
• Good understanding of consultative selling and customer handling.
• Ability to handle objections and close sales effectively.
• Self-motivated, disciplined, and result-oriented.
• Comfortable with calling, lead management, CRM updates, and regular follow-ups.
Preferred Candidate Profile
• Candidates from EdTech sales backgrounds.
• Experience in selling courses, test-prep programs, online learning products, or academic services.
• Strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
Compensation
Salary: Up to ₹6 LPA, based on experience, interview performance, and current compensation.
Incentives: Additional performance-based incentives as per monthly/quarterly sales targets.
