Role Description The Academic Counsellor will work full time on-site at IntrnForte’s Bengaluru location, guiding students through their academic and career development journeys. In this role, the counsellor will conduct one-on-one and group counselling sessions to understand learners’ goals, strengths, and areas for improvement, and recommend suitable courses, certifications, and masterclasses. The counsellor will collaborate closely with college partners and internal teams to coordinate orientations, workshops, and information sessions, ensuring learners are aware of available upskilling opportunities. Daily responsibilities include maintaining accurate student records, tracking progress, following up on enrolments, and providing ongoing support and motivation. The Academic Counsellor will also contribute to outreach activities, respond to queries from students and parents, and provide clear, unbiased guidance aligned with IntrnForte’s learner-first philosophy.
Qualifications
- Strong counselling and guidance skills, including the ability to assess learner needs, set goals, and create personalized academic and career plans.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trust with students, parents, faculty, and internal teams.
- Organizational and coordination abilities to manage sessions, workshops, and student follow-ups efficiently.
- Comfort with digital tools and learning platforms, including basic proficiency in office productivity software and virtual communication tools.
- Understanding of higher education, vocational training, and emerging career pathways, especially in technology and business domains.
- Ability to work on-site in Bengaluru, collaborate in a team environment, and adapt to a fast-changing educational ecosystem.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Social Work, Career Counselling, or a related field; a postgraduate qualification or relevant certifications in counselling are an advantage.
- Prior experience in academic counselling, student advisory roles, or career guidance within educational institutions or training organizations is highly beneficial.
