About IntelAbroad:
IntelAbroad is a doctor-founded MBBS abroad consultancy. We guide students to NMC-approved universities worldwide with complete transparency and personalised support.
Our mission is to help every medical aspirant become a doctor — without compromise and confusion. We guide students and families through one of the most important decisions of their lives — combining honest counseling, in-depth country/university expertise, and end-to-end admission support.
Role Overview:
We are looking for empathetic, articulate, and driven Academic Counsellors to guide NEET aspirants and their families toward the right medical education pathway abroad. This is a consultative counselling role, not a hard-sell tele calling role — the counsellors job is to listen, educate, and recommend the best-fit option for each student's profile.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Handle inbound and outbound calls (150–200 calls/day target) with prospective students and parents.
2. Qualify leads by understanding NEET scores, budget, and family expectations.
3. Educate families on country/university options, fee structures, NMC recognition, and NExT/FMGE pathways.
4. Follow a structured counselling framework.
5. Handle objections around cost, safety, trust, and career outcomes.
6. Book and conduct counselling appointments (calls, webinars, in-person).
7. Maintain accurate lead status and follow-up notes in the CRM.
8. Execute structured follow-up sequences (including WhatsApp touch points) with prospective students.
9. Support students through registration and documentation after conversion.
10. Maintain professional, ethical counseling standards at all times — no false promises
Required Skills & Qualifications
1. Graduate in any discipline (preference for candidates with counselling, education, or healthcare-adjacent backgrounds).
2. 1–3 years of experience in academic counselling, admissions, telesales, or ed-tech counselling.
3. Excellent verbal communication in Hindi and English.
4. Strong listening skills and genuine empathy for student/parent concerns.
5. Basic understanding of NEET, MBBS admissions, or willingness to learn quickly.
6. Comfortable with high call volumes and CRM-based workflows.
7. Resilience and patience — especially for long-cycle, emotionally sensitive decisions
Preferred Attributes
1. Prior experience in study-abroad, ed-tech, or healthcare counselling.
2. Track record of meeting call/conversion targets.
3. Ability to build trust quickly with parents and first-generation aspirants
